about the artist

I love having fun, learning new things, making people smile, and telling stories. I love seeing life through fun angles. I enjoy inspiring others as well as being inspired by others. I have the most supportive husband, best friend, and partner. We enjoy hiking, traveling, our furry kids, snowboarding, weddings, and of course, photography.

I love weddings.  Weddings are filled with thoughtful details and emotions, and I love capturing those precious memories. I love telling vivid wedding stories. I put my heart into every photo, so you will see personality, new perspectives, a great story, and life in my photos.

I work unobtrusively, using my mix of photojournalism, candid, and fine-art portraiture style.  I document those important moments with the most interesting, truthful and beautiful perspective.  I understand how much time and thought is put into each wedding - that’s why it is so important to me that you to experience your big day all over again every time you see your pictures.

The opportunity to capture your memories and tell the story of such a special day is truly an honor to me. I enjoy developing relationships with each couple, which allows me to make each set truly unique & memorable.

This blog is where I will update my most recent photos along with random bits from my life. It is a casual place to get to know each other. If there are specific photos you want to see more of, you can click on the categories at the top to see photos of that category. I hope you find what you’re looking for here. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!  I’d love to hear from you!

Wayfarers Chapel Wedding Photography | Stacy & Lee

Stacy and Lee got married at the beautiful Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes, which is nestled in a grove of towering redwood trees.  The natural sanctuary of Palos Verdes stone and glass designed by Lloyd Wright gives unique expression to the sacred space that welcomes all wayfarers along life’s path.  The beauty of Wayfarers Chapel...

Newborn Baby Photography | Roman

Congrats to Grace & Richard on a healthy baby boy!  Grace and Richard chose leave the sex of their baby a surprise, so there was extra anticipation for all of us.  After a 14 hour labor, and some fainting spells, Grace gave birth to handsome baby Roman.
I headed over to Grace’s house to visit Roman...

Los Angeles Boudoir Photography

I’m back from Napa.  I forget how COLD it is in northern CA.  I packed nothing but summer dresses and they were all short-sleeved or sleeveless, including the tops I wore to shoot both nights.  It was cold and we both had our fair share of mosquito bites.  Poor Jonathan really swelled up though.  So...

Out of Office.

Yesterday, I took a break from editing photos to spend time with a hobby that I have not touched in almost a year – sewing.  I used to take pictures of every item I sewed, but have not since last Halloween.  I actually used to sew most of the clothes I wore too, but time...

Destination Engagement Photography | Sandy & Duc

Sandy and Duc drove down from Nevada for a destination engagement session in sunny CA, so I HAD to take them to the beach.  Sure, it turned out to be cloudy that day, but that actually is better!  Sandy even brought her wedding dress out to play.    We both agreed that it’s too...
