Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

Los Angeles Baby Photography | Roman’s 100th Day

Some of you may remember Roman as a newborn.   Well, he is already 102 days old today!  I went to visit Grace & Richard for Roman’s 2nd of 4 shoots this year.  He was exactly 100 days old.  I love documenting a baby’s 1st year.  I am so privilege to have the opportunity to watch a baby grow throughout it’s first year and capture all the cute moments.  Look how much he has grown!

I saw this bucket while Grace was changing him and just had to put him in it!  He melts my heart!

And babies really do fall asleep anywhere.

And check out the dimples on his cheeks.  :D

It’s not easy being a model.  Doesn’t he look like he just had a long day of work?

So so precious!

I can’t wait for the next shoot!  It’s always fun to see how much they’ve grown and the new tricks they learn.

The Rococo Room | Story’s 1st Birthday

It’s amazing how fast a year flies by! I still remember the day I met little 6lb Story. She was this tiny baby with big feet, but is now off the chart for her age. She looks like a 18 months old baby! I bet she’s going to be athletic just like her daddy. I joke how she’s like a puppy who grew into her paws.

Check out the birthday girl! It was so fun to watch the traditional Korean 1st birthday (Dol) traditions. You couldn’t tell here, but Story was actually fighting off a fever and ear infection. Poor thing!

Hanna & Mark did such a wonderful job planning her birthday party! I love the balloon decorations! So fun and cute!

Didn’t The Rococo Room at Cafe Santorini look great? Very fun, yet still elegant at the same time. The perfect location, centrally located in Old Town Pasadena.

Story’s aunt made these cute little mouse with watermelons & cantelopes.

Hanna & Story in matching traditional Korean outfits. That’s actually the same Hanbok Hanna wore for her wedding. Mark’s parents got Story a custom made one in Korea to match Hanna’s. Aren’t they cute?

I love this Korean tradition, Toljabee, so much that I want to do it for my own child… when I have one. They lay various items in front of the baby to see what attracts her first. Items include money, Erlenmeyer flask, golf ball, book, rice, yarn… The first thing she picks up will predict her future.

what will she grow up to be?

Story looked around a bit… mom was hoping she’d pick up the Erlenmeyer flask (Story was named after a scientist that Hanna met while at Wellesley), and dad was hoping she’d pick up the golf ball… but Story went straight for the book. Story will be a fine scholar!

a scholar!

Just look how happy a book makes her!

Another game played was a Story trivia. Pat & Geny were the only ones who got all the answers correct. The prize? A picture with Story, 2 AMC tickets, and the title “Favorite Aunt/Uncle”… good for one year. :)

Turns out, the centerpieces also make wonderful hats!

The Park & Lim family. For any Dodger fans out there, yes, Park, as in Chan Ho Park. He has such a beautiful family and is such a good father. It’s so cute watching him play with his little girl.

The centerpieces also made great favors, toys, etc.

And little Audrey was so adorable! She loves purses! She has a big purse that she carries around, and when she got the gift bag, she wore it over her shoulder like a purse too.

Story loves little baby Joshua like a little brother. Isn’t he adorable?!

And you can’t have a birthday party without a cake. This super cute cake was from Cakery Bakery in La Canada.

I love this next photo. I love Story’s “where’d the fire go?” reaction. I love Hanna’s reaction to Story. And there’s just such a timeless feel to this photo.

where'd the fire go?

It has been such joy watching Story grow up this past year. She has grown so fast! Congrats Hanna & Mark on a great first year, and I wish you two many many more, espeically with your next one on the way! I look forward to sharing the many more journeys together!
