Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

Paraiso Vineyard Wedding Photography | Jennifer & Tim

beautiful bride

Isn’t Jennifer such a gorgeous bride?!  Jennifer and Tim got married at the Paraiso Winery in Soledad, CA, just south of Monterey, CA.  Tim actually used to live on a ranch across the street from Paraiso.  When his father passed away when he was just a little boy, Rich, the owner of Paraiso, became his father figure.  Tim spent many summers working the vineyard, so became part of the family.  Seeing Tim & Jennifer get married was such a special day for everyone.  So lets rewind to the beginning of the day…

Edit to add:  I forgot to mention about this photo of Jennifer’s engagement ring with her grandmother’s engagement ring.  Amazing resemblance, huh?

new and old

It was an emotional day for everyone.  They all made a pact that if anyone was to shed a tear, they must look down and not at anyone else so that they don’t make anyone else cry.  This is Jennifer when they zipped her up:

all dressed!

Jennifer and Tim chose to not see each other until the cermony.   They couldn’t take their eyes off of each other throughout the whole ceremony.  so so sweet!

Finally, Mr & Mrs!

a moment alone

We headed out with the wedding party to the vineyard after the ceremony for some photos.  I took them away from the wedding party for some privacy just to give them some alone time.

Then we joined the wedding party for some group shots.  I love this shot Jonathan got of the boys:

And a shot with the whole group, of course:

Everything about the wedding was very personal, even their cake toppers.  These little bride & groom figures are actually salt & pepper shakers that were given to Tim’s great grandparents.  They used them as cake toppers and have been passed down and used as cake toppers for everyone who has gotten married since.

Then it was first dance time!  Jennifer and Tim started with a slow, love song…

Then the music suddenly skipped… and you hear “I like big butts and I cannot lie…”  Yes, Baby Got Back started to play!

“I like em round, thick, & juicy…”  LOVE both their reactions here!  Great shot, Jonathan!

If you couldn’t tell, it was a very fun wedding.  I caught this cute couple displaying PDA… and she caught me catching her.

And I caught these two acting goofy.  Not sure what the context was, but he is halarious and I love the MoH in the foreground.

This is Jennifer & Tim’s friend, Kamahele of Musaik Sound System, who was also their DJ for the evening.

And Chris Schmitt & family also represented.  Chris is also a wedding photographer who Jennifer used to assist.  Aren’t they such a beautiful family?!

The night was filled with lots and lots of dancing.  I wish I had the space to share all the awesome photos I got of Jennifer dancing, but I’ll just leave you with this cool shot by Jonathan.

Jennifer & Tim, thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your very very special day!  It was such an honor to witness all the love and fun!  Hope you’re having a great time on your honeymoon right now!

Thank you Jonathan for enduring the 5 hours drive up!  I could not do this without you.  We shot a wedding on Friday night in LA, then drove up for Jennifer & Tim’s wedding on Saturday!   I have the best partner, husband, and second photographer anyone could ever ask for!  It’s our 2nd wedding anniversary this weekend, so off to celebrate now!  :)
