Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

Malibu Family Photography | The Smith Family

I know I’ve said this many times before, but I really really love my job.  I love the relationships I get to build and to see the growth and changes through the years.  Exactly a year ago, I documented little baby Cayden & family, who was just over 5 months old at the time.  In just a year, little baby Cayden has grown into toddler Cayden!  I can’t believe how big he has grown!

Naturally, kids don’t look at me when I have a camera in front of my face.  I kept chasing him around trying to get him to look at me, but he wouldn’t look at me.  I eventually put my camera down to just watch him play and he waves at me saying, “Hi!”  So I quickly snapped this photo of him waving at me.  Isn’t he just the cutest?

hi!

It must have been like peek-a-boo for him because while I was photographing his parents, he came looking for me behind the camera.   It was a fun outing for him.  It was his first time at the beach, so he was curious, but scared at the same time of the water, so Cindy & Todd took him walking along the shore.

I love this next photo.  It reminds me that no matter how old and independent we are, our mom will always be one step behind.

And this just looks like he’s growing up as fast as he’s running.

And this is Cayden saying “Hi!” to Jonathan.  He is such a cutie!

I can’t even imagine how big he’ll look next year!

Beverly Hills Baby Photography | The Kim Family

I love the holiday season.  Families unite, stores stay open late, the hustle and bustle, and best of all, this is the time when many families invite me into their homes for annual family portraits.  In this case, I was invited to the Kim residence in Beverly Hills to document baby Joshua’s first Christmas!  It was so sweet to see how much joy baby Joshua brings to everyone, especially grandpa!

Michelle wanted some formal family photos so that she can enlarge as a gift to her parents-in-law.   What a thoughtful gift!

Jonathan took some photos of the “behind the scenes” that I thought was halarious and just had to share.  I love the different perspectives.

This one especially cracks me up!

I love this photo of the boys:

And this next photo just melts my heart.  Seeing how affectionate grandpa is towards Joshua makes me miss my grandpa and want to make my father a grandpa… but he’ll just have to wait at least another year.  :P

And then time for some shots in his birth day suit!

And then some Christmas theme photos.   Michelle had these gorgeous ornaments:

And of course I had to play with twinkle lights!  You can’t have the holidays without twinkle lights!

Thank you Michelle & Kevin for letting me be part of your family this weekend.  Joshua is so precious and I look forward to watching him grow.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!  I hope you all get to celebrate with your loved ones and have the opportunity to tell them how much you appreciate them!
