about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

Malibu Family Photography | The Smith Family

I know I’ve said this many times before, but I really really love my job.  I love the relationships I get to build and to see the growth and changes through the years.  Exactly a year ago, I documented little baby Cayden & family, who was just over 5 months old at the time.  In just a year, little baby Cayden has grown into toddler Cayden!  I can’t believe how big he has grown!

Naturally, kids don’t look at me when I have a camera in front of my face.  I kept chasing him around trying to get him to look at me, but he wouldn’t look at me.  I eventually put my camera down to just watch him play and he waves at me saying, “Hi!”  So I quickly snapped this photo of him waving at me.  Isn’t he just the cutest?

hi!

It must have been like peek-a-boo for him because while I was photographing his parents, he came looking for me behind the camera.   It was a fun outing for him.  It was his first time at the beach, so he was curious, but scared at the same time of the water, so Cindy & Todd took him walking along the shore.

I love this next photo.  It reminds me that no matter how old and independent we are, our mom will always be one step behind.

And this just looks like he’s growing up as fast as he’s running.

And this is Cayden saying “Hi!” to Jonathan.  He is such a cutie!

All kids love airplanes!

I can’t even imagine how big he’ll look next year!
