Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

Cans for Comments | Happy Holidays!

I saw this great idea on Adrienne‘s site – Cans for Comments!  What a fun and great way to give back!  I will donate a can of food for every comment I get from today until Thursday, Dec 18.  If you also have a blog, please jump on the can wagon (and let me know so I can also comment for you)!  There’s a local can drive going on here that I’d love to donate to next Friday.

For those of you who email me this weekend, please note that I will out of town until Monday, so please excuse me if I don’t respond to your emails until early next week.  We’re going to Mammoth – I’m so excited for our first snowboarding trip this season (and for a mini-vacation).  I just dug up all my gear last night.  The first trip of the season is always so exciting to me.  It has been months since I’ve seen snow!  I hear it’s raining tonight, so I hope there’s lots and lots of fresh powder because I’m really looking forward to going through the trees.  I *love* back country!

In the meantime, I’m sending you some holiday spirit with with one of my favorite photos from this season.  I wish you all much love, happiness, and fun with your loved ones!  Happy holidays and start commenting for cans!

Orange County Wedding Photography | Heather + Vu

Heather and Vu’s wedding was such a fun way to end my wedding season for 2008.  Everything ran so smooth and everyone had so much fun, even their vendors!  (see below)

It was a beautiful day outside, so I decided to take Heather’s dress for a little walk while she was getting ready.  I got a lot of stares as I walked around with a wedding dress, but so worth it, wasn’t it?

Heather did a great job planning her own wedding and involving all her loved ones.  Her cousin Amy did her makeup!

I love this photo of Heather as she’s getting looped up in the back.

And then off to the church!  I really loved how much they involved their family in the wedding – Vu’s uncle married them!

And I love this moment they shared during the ceremony.

Look how happy they are as husband & wife!  so so cute!

And then some portraits at a nearby park, on the way to the reception.  I love finding light and interesting angles where ever it is, even if it’s just some cliche park.  Heather wasn’t too excited for this park because she says that everyone in her neighborhood takes photos here, but I think I caught some great light and different angles.  The park may be cliche, but I think the angles and perspectives here make up for it.

I love the light here!  The sun was actually setting behind some office buildings, but fortunately, I was able to catch this light in between the buildings!

I love Heather’s bouquet of all red roses.  It pops!

I love how much fun the two had the entire day.  You could just feel their joy and can’t help but to have fun with them.

They also had a traditional Lion Dance performance.  So cool!

And then some alone time during their first dance.

To celebrate their honeymoon in Mexico, they led a festive conga line.  Yes, that is a tricycle handle Vu’s “driving” with.  haha.

And like I mentioned in the beginning, even the vendors had fun.  Check out all the waiters!

Thank you Heather & Vu for letting us share in this super fun day with you both.  I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
