about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

my shoes

As a child, my dad would take me back-to-school shopping once a year to buy a new pair of shoes.  Every year, I would get the same size as my grade level.  Going into 1st grade, I got size 1 shoes.  In 2nd grade, I got size 2.  In 3rd grade, I got size 3….  It made shoe shopping very easy.  It was typically white keds, but one year I got to splurge and got LA Gear.  Neon green and white.

By the time I got to six grade, I wore size 6.  Probably because size 6 was the same size as my mom, she bought me lots of shoes that year.  There was one pair of brown leather shoes I remember her getting me that she thought was so nice (real leather!), but I found hideous!  It was so out of style – it looked like something my aunt wore 3 years prior.  They sat brand new in my mom’s shoe closet for years.

Through the years of purging, that pair remained in the back corner.  It was never worn and no one had the heart to throw it out.

In the past few years, I’ve been really into dresses.  I’ve bought and made a lot of.  There was this one dress where I wanted flat brown boots, but haven’t found a pair that fit well.  Then I suddenly remembered those old brown shoes.  They’re not the boots I was envisioning, but I thought it would be fun to try it out.  I went to my mom’s shoe closet a few weeks ago and found that after 16 years, those shoes are still in there!

Not bad, eh?  Hey, they’re free.  :)   It was an interesting task trying to take photos of my own shoes.

Oh, and on a side note, I did buy size 7 shoes before entering the 7th grade, but never grew into them.
