about the artist

I love having fun, learning new things, making people smile, and telling stories. I love seeing life through fun angles. I enjoy inspiring others as well as being inspired by others. I have the most supportive husband, best friend, and partner. We enjoy hiking, traveling, our furry kids, snowboarding, weddings, and of course, photography.

I love weddings.  Weddings are filled with thoughtful details and emotions, and I love capturing those precious memories. I love telling vivid wedding stories. I put my heart into every photo, so you will see personality, new perspectives, a great story, and life in my photos.

I work unobtrusively, using my mix of photojournalism, candid, and fine-art portraiture style.  I document those important moments with the most interesting, truthful and beautiful perspective.  I understand how much time and thought is put into each wedding - that’s why it is so important to me that you to experience your big day all over again every time you see your pictures.

The opportunity to capture your memories and tell the story of such a special day is truly an honor to me. I enjoy developing relationships with each couple, which allows me to make each set truly unique & memorable.

This blog is where I will update my most recent photos along with random bits from my life. It is a casual place to get to know each other. If there are specific photos you want to see more of, you can click on the categories at the top to see photos of that category. I hope you find what you’re looking for here. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!  I’d love to hear from you!

Project Wedding vendor reviews

Wedding Photography | Yvonne + Bill

Bill and Yvonne had an amazing wedding at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Gilroy, CA.  They had so many unique qualities to their wedding, and the cool thing is that most of the details were all planned by Bill!  Just watching and hearing how they planned this wedding, I can tell that Bill and Yvonne are an amazing team together.  As a project manager, Yvonne managed all the logistics and big picture planning.  And as the graphic designer, Bill took care of all the details and design.  Could they be any more perfectly paired?

Ever wonder what guys are up to while the girls are getting ready?  Here’s a hint:

Their program is the most ingenious thing I’ve seen.  It was about 37 degrees in Gilroy that night, so for their programs, they made them as little envelopes, and inside, they stuffed hand warmers in them!  Definitely a crowd pleaser!

It was such a beautiful day.

And I love how her father is watching them.  I can feel how proud & happy he is, but sad to see her grow up at the same time.  I bet he’s reminiscing about her childhood.

And my favorite part, when the officiant said, “And now you may update your facebook status.”  They both whipped out their iphones and updated their status!  Too cute!!  Especially to a facebook fanatic like me.  :)

Just married!

And a non-traditional photo of the guys.  Looks like they’re about to beat me up, huh?  :)

the groom & his groomsmen

In case you’re wondering, we took “normal” group photos too, but these are so much more fun.  :)

And I just love the way they interact together.

And they played so many fun games throughout the night.  This scavenger hunt/musical chair game was hilarious!

This was a huge celebration for everyone.  It was so lively and fun.  Love how the guys carried Bill away.

Thanks Yvonne & Bill for letting me be part of your big day!  I was touched not only by your love for each other, but for your friends & family.  I wish you a life full of happiness, fortune, and health.  I look forward to seeing you two write the next chapter in your lives!
