Look who turned one – little Joshua! You may recognize him from my holiday card last year. Hasn’t he grown so much?! It was great to see everyone again!
Joshua had a traditional Korean 1st birthday called a Dol. Right when you entered, you were immediately greeted by the Joshua tree, filled with photos of Joshua through his first year. So precious! The idea was from mommy Michelle, and Michelle’s mom put the tree together. She’s so creative! The below left is some of the arrangements done by Michelle’s mom! On the right is Joshua’s grandma and nanny helping him get dressed for this great occasion.
The beautiful ballroom decorated in baby blue and white balloons.
I LOVE the fruit filled vases!
Mommy and little Joshua all dressed and ready to go!
Look how loved Joshua is! He puts a smile on everyone’s face!
With a face like this, how can your heart not melt?
It was great to see Hanna & Story there too. You may remember Story from her Dol and photo session with pumpkins and balloons. On the right is Michelle’s beautiful mother and sister.
No party is complete without a clown!
Joshua’s friends saying hi! It was so cool meeting Caroline & Mark from the uber hot Kogi BBQ.
Then it was time for the Toljabee. A bunch of items are placed in front of the baby (yarn, rice, golf balls, book, money, pencil…) Each item symbolizes what the future holds for him. So what did he pick?
Joshua’s going to be a wealthy man. ![]()
