Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

Pasadena Engagement Photography | Kristin + Eric

Kristin and Eric are just so adorable together.  I could see what a perfect pair they are the moment we met.  It’s evident in the way they laugh together and the way they just get each other.  Kristin and I already had a great connection through email, and when we finally met, we clicked immediately and I knew that we were a perfect match.

We started at the Pasadena Library and I love how everything just flowed so naturally.  Kristin & Eric’s love just radiates.  You can help but to smile around them.

We popped in the library for a few shots before they closed.  They are just so loving, sweet, and playful together.

Kristin walks by these poppies everyday – I’m sure she’s thinking about her wedding plans and all the excitement of their engagement period every time she walks by.   I wanted to capture these poppies for her because I think they’ll bring back memories of this once-in-a-lifetime period.

Right:  Crazy plant that I just had to capture them though.  I LOVE her facial expression!

I cannot wait for their wedding this May!  I can’t wait to see all the personal touches!

Fun fact:  I lost my phone after this shoot.  In the grass you see in the above image.  I was dropped off, so I didn’t have a car and no cell phone.  After borrowing many stranger’s phones and waiting around for nearly 2 hrs, Jonathan found me.  We back tracked all my steps and found my iphone laying face up on the grass!  I met a lot of cool strangers though, including a newly engaged couple, but that adventure would be a whole seperate entry.  :)

Calamigos Equestrian Wedding | Cindy + Andy

I’ve fallen behind with blogging!  I’m playing catch up since my return from Whistler so things are all a little out of routine at the moment.  Whistler was AMAZING, btw – I’ll have to blog about that soon!

You may remember Cindy & Andy from their two part engagement photos.  It was so emotional and special for me to have been part of their big day, especially since I’ve known Cindy for over 15 years now (back story here).  It’s amazing to see her go from a little 12 year old girl to a beautiful woman who has found genuine true love.  Cindy and Andy could not be anymore perfect for each other!  They love each other so much that they declared it 3 times!  Last year, they had their civil ceremony.  Then in August, they had a Chinese wedding for their families.  And now, this is their party!  It is my first friends-only wedding and it was SO much fun!

Cindy had 2 garters – the one with the bow is to throw and the one with their initials is to keep.

Cindy had her invitations in these beautiful silver Thai silk boxes.  She ordered the boxes directly from Thailand, and assembled everything else herself!

All ready to go!!  I love the excitement in her face!

Before Cindy headed out, she tucked her their two children, Monkey-bear and Andy-bear.  If you squeeze Andy-bear’s hand, it says, “Love, will you marry me?”  *melts!*

The room was filled with lavender uplights.  Uplights not only create such great ambiance, but also provide wonderful lighting for photography.  Each centerpiece also had pinspots to make them pop.  Check out the gorgeous centerpieces!  I love the pair of tulips in the vases!

And a big group shot of everyone who came to celebrate their wedding!  I’ll end their story here because after this shot, the rest of the night was filled with 151 shots.  Crazy partiers!
