Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

Call me an optimist, but I have faith that things will always work out.  May had contacted me last year about her wedding, but I was already booked (just booked it the day before too!).  We were both super bummed, but a few weeks later, her venue told her that they were not available for her date after all and that she had to change her date.  As stressful as it was, it all worked out because May & Brian were able to find a date where the venue and I were both available!  yay!  I love how playful and cute they are together and so excited to be able to tell their story.

One of May and Brian’s favorite pastime is biking.  Last year, they biked across Idaho!  The event brought over 30,000 people into a town of 1,000!  The cyclist camped out in barns and on the front lawns of host families.  One of their favorite spots to bike to in So Cal is the Arroyo Seco woods in Pasadena.  It’s amazing that such wilderness exist in LA!  Just a 20 min bike ride (at my pace) to leave busy LA and enter this calm and amazing wooded area.  They even brought my a bicycle!  (they own 8 bikes between the two of them)  The last time I rode a bike was during Angela & Charles’ engagement shoot (and that was only for a few minutes at most).  Prior to that, I hadn’t riden a bike since 5th grade!  Brian held my gear for me.  I started off a little wobbly, but when I got the hang of it, it was the most relaxing thing I’ve done in a long time!  I enjoyed watching Brian showoff his mad skills!

Left:  Kissing while cycling… impressive!  This photo really symbolizes their relationship and how insync they are with each other.

Right:  I just love how much fun they have together.

This is the reward for the 20 min bike ride – beautiful wooded escape and running stream.

wheee!

They are just so so cute together!  So playful and full of love!  And I just love how much you can tell by just looking at their feet.  The beauty of body language.

We found this gorgeous tree during sunset.  This is such a beautiful escape from the city!

the perfect setting

May took this picture of me.  They advised me to wear long sleeves & pants because of the poison oak in the area.  You can’t see from this angle, but there was really running water just beneath me!

May and Brian, thank you so much for a fun-filled day!  I can’t wait for your wedding day!
