Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I love having fun, learning new things, making people smile, and telling stories. I love seeing life through fun angles. I enjoy inspiring others as well as being inspired by others. I have the most supportive husband, best friend, and partner. We enjoy hiking, traveling, our furry kids, snowboarding, weddings, and of course, photography.

I love weddings.  Weddings are filled with thoughtful details and emotions, and I love capturing those precious memories. I love telling vivid wedding stories. I put my heart into every photo, so you will see personality, new perspectives, a great story, and life in my photos.

I work unobtrusively, using my mix of photojournalism, candid, and fine-art portraiture style.  I document those important moments with the most interesting, truthful and beautiful perspective.  I understand how much time and thought is put into each wedding - that’s why it is so important to me that you to experience your big day all over again every time you see your pictures.

The opportunity to capture your memories and tell the story of such a special day is truly an honor to me. I enjoy developing relationships with each couple, which allows me to make each set truly unique & memorable.

This blog is where I will update my most recent photos along with random bits from my life. It is a casual place to get to know each other. If there are specific photos you want to see more of, you can click on the categories at the top to see photos of that category. I hope you find what you’re looking for here. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!  I’d love to hear from you!

I am based in Los Angeles, but travel and destination weddings are welcome!
I book weddings up to 15 months in advance.

My wedding
calendar is booked through April 2011.

i sewed this | i ate this

Yeah, 4 post in 4 days!  I just wanted to wish Shannon and Dani a happy birthday, again.  :)   I planned a little tea party for their birthdays and even found time to do some sewing again!  I made Dani a top and Shannon a bag – my two favorite things to sew.

Hannah was able to join us.  yay!

tea time

Fabulous Shannon is the one who taught me how to use indesign.  total life saver!  That’s probably why I’ve been able to crank out my blog posts so much faster now.  :)   Album design has been so much faster too!  Thank you, Shannon!  I love you!

tea time!

I <3 Dani so much.  I’ve known her for close to 3 years now.  She is the reason why I got back into photography and became a wedding photographer.

dani + me

This next series was all taken by Dani.  I love them together!

some ladies of ambient

I wanted one last photo of my sewing projects since I don’t know when the next time I’ll get to sew.  And I paired it with Hannah’s dress because I want to sew that next.  hehe

Then later that night, Jonathan and I went to Wurstkuke in LA to meet up with Bonnie, Serena, Adrienne, Jenny, amongst others.  I love how our eyeballs are everywhere.  haha.

I sent Jonathan to get food.  I had a really bad headache that day, so I told him to just order whatever and surprise me.  check out what he came back with…

rattlesnake + rabbit

Yes, that says Rattlesnake & Rabbit!  I was freaked out at first to try it, but after I ate it, I realized it just taste like any other sausage.  And as I was explaining to someone that I ate a rattlesnake & rabbit, I had a vision that maybe I ate the rattlesnake that ate a rabbit!  So I drew on the table to demonstrate.  Thank goodness I take photos better than I draw.  LOL

I had such a blast hanging out with all you gals!  Hope to do it again soon!!
