Hi Sarah,
There were several setups, but the softness ones you’re asking about was just my 580exII on camera. But I tilt it w/ a bounce card and let as much ambient light in as I can. I was at f1.2.

The reason I ask is I have a night wedding coming up that I’m STREEESSSSIN’ over. I have two 580exII flashes and a pocket wizard system. I’m really looking for nighttime shot inspiration (but ofcourse have all the technicalities of that to worry about too!) THANKS for your help

Hey… awesome stuff. Just discovered you which is excellent for me!! How did you take those last shots that you say you wanted softness in. Where was your flash in relation to them and did you use a diffuser?

Hi Caroline, I’m a long time blog reader, but rarely comment. These photos are just great though! You can still see your style in the night photos, I think they turned out beautifully, really a great job. I always love how clean and fresh your images are!
