Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I love having fun, learning new things, making people smile, and telling stories. I love seeing life through fun angles. I enjoy inspiring others as well as being inspired by others. I have the most supportive husband, best friend, and partner. We enjoy hiking, traveling, our furry kids, snowboarding, weddings, and of course, photography.

I love weddings.  Weddings are filled with thoughtful details and emotions, and I love capturing those precious memories. I love telling vivid wedding stories. I put my heart into every photo, so you will see personality, new perspectives, a great story, and life in my photos.

I work unobtrusively, using my mix of photojournalism, candid, and fine-art portraiture style.  I document those important moments with the most interesting, truthful and beautiful perspective.  I understand how much time and thought is put into each wedding - that’s why it is so important to me that you to experience your big day all over again every time you see your pictures.

The opportunity to capture your memories and tell the story of such a special day is truly an honor to me. I enjoy developing relationships with each couple, which allows me to make each set truly unique & memorable.

This blog is where I will update my most recent photos along with random bits from my life. It is a casual place to get to know each other. If there are specific photos you want to see more of, you can click on the categories at the top to see photos of that category. I hope you find what you’re looking for here. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!  I’d love to hear from you!

I am based in Los Angeles, but travel and destination weddings are welcome!
I book weddings up to 15 months in advance.

My wedding
calendar is booked through April 2011.

I tried to get all my work done before leaving to Asia, but more work piled while I was gone so I’m currently trying to get all caught up and as a result, my poor blog is neglected.  I’m taking a short editing break to share with you these lovely photos of an amazing couple who’s getting married next week!

.

While scouting out locations, Pamela found this lovely field by her house.  She snapped some pictures and sent them to me with an excited, “This is SO your style!”  And boy was she right!  When I showed up, I squealed with glee!  I pretty much squealed throughout this session because everything was just so beautiful.  The setting and light was amazing.  Her fabulous hair piece & dress (by Jessica McClintock) was gorgeous!  And from my blog, Pamela knew all my poses already, so I didn’t even have to tell her anything!  That made me so happy!  Anytime I started to direct them, she already knew what I was thinking.  LOVE IT!

Aren’t they just so gorgeous?

Ready for a funny back story?  When we showed up to the field, Pamela said, “What if there are snakes?”  Right then, Scott looks down and says, “um… there’s snake skin.”  He picks up the molted skin of a 4ft rattle snake!  We didn’t wander any further after that and stayed close to the edge.  So warning to anyone else who wants to run into a wild field… beware of snakes.  …but the risk was totally worth it because big empty fields creates amazing images like this:

That gorgeous bouquet is actually faux flowers!  The best part is that the bouquet from her aunt’s wedding way long ago.

A combinação de cores ficou perfeita, e a noiva tbm ajuda, linda…já o noivo… P.S.: Quem quiser conferir mais fotos, Caroline Tran Blog. [...]
