about the artist

I love having fun, learning new things, making people smile, and telling stories. I love seeing life through fun angles. I enjoy inspiring others as well as being inspired by others. I have the most supportive husband, best friend, and partner. We enjoy hiking, traveling, our furry kids, snowboarding, weddings, and of course, photography.

I love weddings.  Weddings are filled with thoughtful details and emotions, and I love capturing those precious memories. I love telling vivid wedding stories. I put my heart into every photo, so you will see personality, new perspectives, a great story, and life in my photos.

I work unobtrusively, using my mix of photojournalism, candid, and fine-art portraiture style.  I document those important moments with the most interesting, truthful and beautiful perspective.  I understand how much time and thought is put into each wedding - that’s why it is so important to me that you to experience your big day all over again every time you see your pictures.

The opportunity to capture your memories and tell the story of such a special day is truly an honor to me. I enjoy developing relationships with each couple, which allows me to make each set truly unique & memorable.

This blog is where I will update my most recent photos along with random bits from my life. It is a casual place to get to know each other. If there are specific photos you want to see more of, you can click on the categories at the top to see photos of that category. I hope you find what you’re looking for here. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!  I’d love to hear from you!

I am based in Los Angeles, but travel and destination weddings are welcome!
I book weddings up to 15 months in advance.

My wedding
calendar is booked through April 2011.

Dianne and David together have the biggest heart I know.  In one of David’s job, he administers chemo.  Dianne is a teacher.  Their jobs can be stressful, but that’s probably why when they are together, all they do is laugh and have fun.  They were meant to be the sunshine in each other’s lives.  They’re both super involved in their church and it was through their church at UCI that they met.

This is the story of Dianne & David, and how two became one.

See the anklet?  That’s a new tradition her and her friends started.  They’re going to pass that on to each girl that gets married, adding on a new charm each time.  Dianne got a little red apple since she’s a teacher.  I wonder who’ll get the anklet next!

I love how her bridesmaids are all lined up in the corner of this shot.

Isn’t their cake topper the cutest?  Peter the Anteater, UCI’s mascot.  So appropriate since that’s where they met, and where we did their engagement photos!

mmm… Kara’s cupcakes!  My current favorite cupcakes!

She also DIY’ed her escort cards.  Rhinestones all hand applied on each and every invite & escort card.

They’re both huge Kanye West fans, so The Good Life was a running theme.

Their speeches was full of laughter and tears.  Her father’s speech/toast was the BEST I’ve ever heard.  I wish I could have a copy of it.  It was witty, touching, and funny.  Dianne’s sister then surprised her with a whole Polynesian Dance show, all performed by her siblings, cousins, and other friends/family.

They even got her mom to come up and try.  It was so cute!

Congrats Dianne & David on an amazingly fun & touching wedding!  I wish you two much love and laughter.  I know you two will be so happy together because you both give so freely and expect nothing in return.  Keep doing that for one another!
