It’s my birthday today, so I gave myself the day off… after this blog post!  I wanted to post something really fun today!  Janet and Jack are a super cute couple.  Janet lives in HK and was in town visiting, so we took the opportunity to schedule in their engagement session!  They wanted something fun & casual, so they came with lots of pink bubbles!!  8 little pink balloons, 2 large pink balloons, & soap bubbles!  While we were planning, Janet mentioned she wanted to bring extra balloons just in case we accidentally popped them or lost them, which I thought was so awesome of her.

Minutes into the shoot, we lost a little balloon.  oops!  I feel bad that it’s in the environment now, but that was totally not our intention!  slippery hands.

After this shot, I wanted to do some shots with just the big balloons.  We tied the little balloons to my camera bag and while we were walking, I suddenly look up and realized the balloons had come undone.  So now we’re down to 2 balloons left…

I love watching couples laugh together… In fact, they were having so much fun and so into each other that they didn’t even notice right away when another balloon had escaped!

And then there was one…  kinda symbolic though, right?  how they are becoming one?

And you know how much I love my blurry couple shots!

Congrats you two on a beautiful engagement!!  I’m so excited for your wedding at the Langham next year!

Okay, so now I offically begin my day off!  Happy hump day!

Jennifer & Paul are as cute as a couple can get!  Just from their engagement photos alone, I already knew they were going to have a fun wedding day!  The Langham in Pasadena (formerly the Ritz Carlton) provided the perfect setting for this very perfect day.  It’s so convenient when everything is all at one location.

Kelly Zhang and team did a fabulous job on all the ladies!

Jenn had white orchids & hydrangeas in her bouquet.  All the flowers were done by Greenleaf Designs.

Yes, guys get makeup too!  Who doesn’t want flawless skin, right?

I LOVE the little crystal details on her veil.  So delicate, subtle, and cute!

This beautiful day was put together with the help of Amanda from In the Now Weddings.  Check her out in her cute sunnies!  A good coordinator makes the day run so smoothly!  Look at the smile on Jenn’s maid-of-honor’s face just before the ceremony and you can tell how stress free everyone was.

I love the crystals and orchids that hung from the tree.

Yes, the guys all wore checkered Vans!

I love seeing photos from the engagement session at weddings.  Jenn & Paul ordered a fine-art canvas to display at their wedding and I just love the photo they chose to enlarge.

For favors, they gave out these adorably wrapped soaps from Boh Bon Soap.

I love the different sized vases and their cake!  The Langham Huntington made their adorable cake.

This is Miwa, Jenn’s best friend from childhood.  They went through everything together and it was so touching to see how close they are.  Can you see the 2 tears dripping off her cheek?

Congrats you two on an amazing wedding day.  Thank you, Angela & Charles, for introducing me to Jenn & Paul!  You both have such amazing families.  Thank you for welcoming me in and letting me share in these intimate memories!
