Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

When Kim and Minh first met in the dorms at UCLA, they had no idea that they were destined to be each other’s soul mates.  After seeing them together, it’s so obvious how perfect they are together.  We did their engagement session at UCLA, and to keep with the UCLA theme, their wedding colors were blue and yellow too.  Their wedding was filled with so many personalized details that truly reflect their personalities.  All I heard around the room was how much fun their wedding was and how it was so them… just how a wedding should be!

We started the day in Long Beach at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden.  I love it when couples see each other before hand to do portraits.  It was early, but worth it.  Check out that sky!

This cute ring bearer cried the whole way down the aisle!

For favors, they made each guest a mix CD.  And my favorite were the little buttons they made for everyone.  Better Together, like bacon & eggs, pie & ice cream, milk & cookies, burger & fries, and two aces.  Adorable, isn’t it???  I collected each unique button!  :D   I like flair.

Their escort cards were also raffle tickets!  Guest had the opportunity to win a Canon digital camera, an iPod touch, and a $100 gift card to Target

They also made custom labels for the Jones soda.  Each label had a random fun fact about the couple.

And we even got to run around Chinatown a bit for some portraits before the sun set.

calamigos ranch wedding photography | sarah + eric

calamigos-ranch-wedding-01

Sarah and Eric are a special couple to me because I literally saw them through this entire process.  Eric contacted me last year to help him with his proposal.  Together, we created this cool book for him to pop the question with while watching the sunrise in Korea.  And then we had a super cute engagement session.  As you can see, these two have such cool style.  For their wedding, they DIY’ed everything, including their own flowers!  I love their navy and pink color palette, and just how romantic everything was.

I love Sarah’s flowy dress by Pronovias.  I love how simple and and soft it is.  She also added these cute pink flowers to her shoes.  I just love how soft everything looks.

I LOVE Sarah’s birdcage veil & hair piece.  Love the feathery flower in her hair. I also LOVE her bouquet, made with entirely pink roses.  Can you believe she made it all herself??  It’s so perfect!
