Caroline Tran Photographer – Los Angeles Wedding Photography bio picture

about the artist

I've always loved telling stories, but never enjoyed writing. When I
found photography, it was the perfect medium for me to express myself. With each shoot, I unveil the unique stories of
my subjects, and tell them with beautiful imagery. People often tell me
that they feel like they know my clients just from reading my blog.

They say photographs are the only tangible memories after a wedding,
which means that my perspective is how you will remember your big day.  With that in mind, I have to capture the details (big and
small) in the most beautiful light. I want you to laugh and cry (tears
of joy, of course) when you look at your photos. Whether it's your wedding day or your babies growing up, time goes
by so fast, so it's
my job to document your story... beautifully.

I am based in Los Angeles, but love to travel.

Destination weddings are most certainly welcomed!

In order to give each client my full creative energy, I only take a limited number of weddings a year. (aka I book up fast and don't offer discounts.)

st regis wedding photography | meghan + andrew

It went from freezing cold rain/hail (just a week ago) to 90s today.  This warm weather got me reminiscing about this beautiful beachy wedding at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, which was just featured in the new issue of Smitten magazine, just released!  (page 30-42!)  Check out the beautiful spreads first, then come back here to see a few extra photos to complete the story.

I’m totally in LOVE with her Vera Wang dress and Christian Louboutin flats!

She had the most gorgeous flowers, thanks to White Lilac.

One of my favorite photos ever of bride & dad just before walking down the aisle:

Jeannie (Details Details) did such an amazing job creating this very elegant yet beachy reception.

I love their invites designed by Papermade Design, especially the “message in a bottle”:

Their signature drink, Indian Summer, was just perfect.

One of the best entertainment at a wedding ever.  The Spazmatics performed for 2 hrs… it was literally a concert!

My favorites are the ones of grandpa:

And just when you thought it couldn’t possibly get any more fun, they had an after party!  Meghan & Andrew brought many of the late night snacks they enjoyed through Law school in Texas:

mmm… milk & cookies sound so good right now.

Congrats to Meghan & Andrew on seriously one of the most fun weddings ever!  Wishing you this much fun together for always!

the parker palm springs wedding | diane + alex

I’m sure from that first image alone, you already know where this wedding took place.  That entrance has become so iconic.  I love The Parker in Palm Springs.  So much style… which makes it the perfect setting for Diane & Alex.  Diane lived in SF, then moved to LA with Alex, then right after we took their engagement photos, they moved to NY and pretty much planned this wedding from NY.  Right before the wedding, they packed up and moved to SF.

The above is my first ring shot in film.  :)

I love her Chanel sandals… and the tons of Hermes that were gifted.

Diane looks so beautiful.  All thanks to the lovely ladies at Kelly Zhang makeup.

Artisan did a great job with her bouquet!

The famous lemonade stand:

I just love all the color!  And the Jonathan Adler luggage tags below:

And I looove the hammocks!

One of the things we instantly bonded over was good food!  They had a few of our favorite places to eat, like the Halal Cart & Roli Roti!  Anyone else a fan???

The most adorable cake by Sweet & Saucy Shop.

And how about a pair of Jordan’s as the groom’s cake?

Congrats to Diane & Alex on a beautiful wedding!!  You can see this in the current edition of Ceremony Magazine (Los Angeles).  Their cake was also featured in Destination Weddings & Honeymoon.
