Romantic Garden Inspiration with Claire Pettibone

Inspired by the romance of  Claire Pettibone‘s dresses, Tricia Saroya created four variations on a bohemian bride. The first look, a romantic, garden setting, featured a soft palette of pale pinks and peaches and the bride wore loose blooms pinned in her hair. For the second scene, a vintage fainting couch was styled with cascading flowers and made a lovely backdrop for a couple’s first look. For the third scene, the tall wild grass of the ranch serves as inspiration for a more rustic and wild look. For the fourth scene, moody romance took center stage, with a candlelit ceremony scene, a sexy black lace dress, and deep red roses. You can see more of this wedding inspiration shoot on Wedding Chicks right here.

Hundred year old Morton Bay Fig Trees frame the couple.

Bright orange and pink blooms with hints of bugundy by Tricia Saroya.

A dried floral bouquet inspired by the tall golden grass of California.

Soft blues and peaches for this scene made for a romantic setting.

And finally, this stunning black lace wedding dress by Claire Pettibone which we paired with red roses and candles for a moody feel.

A romantic candlelit scene for an evening ceremony, how utterly romantic.

Photojournalism is really a passionate profession. Without right motivation it is not possible to acquire your primary goal in this area. It’s directly linked with third eye, for this reason it’s just not an painless task.

Valentine’s Day Elopement Inspiration & A Sneak Peek of my Online Workshop!

I love a small wedding, so when it came time to shoot the sample editorial for my online workshop, an intimate Valentine’s Day wedding  celebration was the perfect choice. Real couple, Hannah & Steve served as our models for this chic inspiration shoot. Hannah wore an insanely stunning wedding dress, Diamante by Caroline Herrera, which was paired with a vintage pearl seed necklace from the 1890’s and classic pearl drop earrings, both from 33 Jewels. For the faux ceremony, stylist Kelly Oshiro used a vintage fireplace mantle from Pretty Vintage Rentals and  clusters of taper and pillar candles for a simple and romantic look. Classic Valentine’s Day red mixed with deeper shades of merlot and bright cherry were paired with black, gray, and gold accents. Dinner was kept formal, though intimate, the bride and groom sat at the head of the table and enjoyed a meal by Mr. & Mrs. Creamery with engagement cornish hens with pomegranate seeds, butternut squash soup, and roasted farmer’s market carrots. After dinner cocktails were served from a gold bar cart which also doubled as the cake table. You can see the preview of my online workshop here coming out in March and your can see this editorial featured on Style Me Pretty right here.

romantic studio maternity photography

I first met Paula through her sister Emily, after I photographed Emily’s bridal shower, maternity, anniversary celebration, and her beautiful children. Over the past few years it’s been wonderful getting to know their amazing family. I was so excited to hear Paula had met Tran and had so much fun photographing their playful engagement session as well as their beautiful vineyard wedding. It’s been an honor getting to be part of their amazing story; I had so much fun photographing their romantic maternity session in my studio. Congratulations to both Paula and Tran on their first child, I’m looking forward to many more milestones from you!
