It’s my birthday today, so I gave myself the day off… after this blog post!  I wanted to post something really fun today!  Janet and Jack are a super cute couple.  Janet lives in HK and was in town visiting, so we took the opportunity to schedule in their engagement session!  They wanted something fun & casual, so they came with lots of pink bubbles!!  8 little pink balloons, 2 large pink balloons, & soap bubbles!  While we were planning, Janet mentioned she wanted to bring extra balloons just in case we accidentally popped them or lost them, which I thought was so awesome of her.

Minutes into the shoot, we lost a little balloon.  oops!  I feel bad that it’s in the environment now, but that was totally not our intention!  slippery hands.

After this shot, I wanted to do some shots with just the big balloons.  We tied the little balloons to my camera bag and while we were walking, I suddenly look up and realized the balloons had come undone.  So now we’re down to 2 balloons left…

I love watching couples laugh together… In fact, they were having so much fun and so into each other that they didn’t even notice right away when another balloon had escaped!

And then there was one…  kinda symbolic though, right?  how they are becoming one?

Congrats you two on a beautiful engagement!!  I’m so excited for your wedding at the Langham next year!

Okay, so now I offically begin my day off!  Happy hump day!

We’re flying out today!  We’re going to Singapore and then to Indonesia.  I wish we were flying out Up style, but Singapore airlines will have to do for now.  I have 2 actual blog entries planned while I’m there, but won’t be blogging about the trip.  However, I plan to be twittering my random adventures, so please follow me on twitter!

Up!  Regina & Danny are planning their wedding in 4 months!  Amazing!  What that also meant was that we had to quickly do their engagement session because their wedding is in mid-June!  Great thing they already knew the location they wanted to shoot at, so stylizing this shoot was very smooth.  I love the red theme we did throughout with the washed out backdrop!  It was surprisingly really overcast, so I played up the weather’s tones.

We started with 6 balloons.  One popped as we walked from our cars.  We got one shot with the 5 balloons, and as we walked, we hit another tree and 3 more popped.  And then we were down to 2.  lol.  It ended up being cute with 2.

Regina’s fabulous hair & makeup was done by none other than the amazing Kelly Zhang.

This beach was SO SO beautiful!  It totally reminded me of our honeymoon in Hawaii!

Thanks Regina & Danny for a wonderful shoot!  Can’t wait for your wedding in 2 weeks!!!

Turns out, Story really likes hay.

I love her little expressions!  And who can resist fish lips!

This is what happens behind the scenes…  Sometimes it works, and sometimes not…

But Jonathan realized that she loves the hay, so he made it rain hay.  She was so giddy and excited!

The Lim family…  The cats not out of the bag yet, so I won’t say, but this would make a great announcement, wouldn’t it? 

I love this candid moment I got of mommy and Story.  Too precious!
