When I first met Hannah and her mom, Amy, I instantly knew we would work great together.  In Amy’s words, “Well, this was a great first date!”  It was indeed and I was very excited for our future dates!  I met Dave for the first time on this shoot, and meeting him really completed the picture for me.  They could not be anymore perfect together.  I love the way they adore each other and just how they really complete each other.

Hannah’s an interior designer, so I had her pull some textiles together.  I love the way she mixed patterns here!  (Something I cannot do!)  It was the perfect place to cuddle.

If you’re familiar with my work, you’ll know that I’m definately a color girl.  I dream in color (and read!).   At the end of Jasleen & Ken’s shoot, I asked if they would like their last roll to be black & white.  Ken has actually followed my work and knows everything I do, so though he fell in love with my color stuff, I’m glad he went for the change.  I really love how timeless these photos came out.  Most of their photos were in color, but today, I’m sharing with you just the black and whites… change things up here a bit.

Happy Monday!!

Baby Nolan and his family are special to me.  I actually photographed them when he was still in his mommy’s tummy!  I can’t believe he has turned one!  I had just found out I was pregnant when I did their maternity session too.

What a beautiful family they have:

One of my favorite things about family shoots is watching daddys get all gushy with their baby.   Even between Jonathan and I, you see how dads just play differently with their baby.  It’s a different kind of bond, and I love seeing the different ways.

Nolan LOVES the water… so much, he tried to crawl into the water.  Daddy picked him up literally just before a wave got him.

I love my job.  It’s such an honor to watch people grow as individuals and as a family.

Meet the Shih family.  They were here vacationing this summer, escaping the Vegas heat.  There was also lots to celebrate!  It was daddy AND little Penelope’s birthday!

Remember baby Ashlynn’s Newborn photos and 6 months photos?  She’s turning a year old already!  I loved watching her grow this first year and look forward to seeing her become a toddler!
