It is such a privilege to be a part of a couples wedding day, and an even bigger privilege to be a part of the many milestones that follows. I photographed Alexis & Sean‘s beautiful & heartfelt wedding early this summer. They have such loving friends & family and I am so excited that they will soon be starting a family of their own! I was estatic when Alexis called me to document their first pregnancy! They just moved into their first home together, so it was suiting to shoot there. We got some super HOT photos there! Wish I can share! But I’ll share more appropriate photos from when we drove down to the beach JUST in time to catch sunset.

I love how she just looks like she on top of the world. She is such a goddess!

I love doing maternity shoots in nature. There’s nothing closer to nature than pregnancy. It amazes me what the female body can do and just the whole miracle of life. This is truly

mother nature.

And I love this photo of Alexis walking along the earth. I am so excited for Sean & Alexis as they embark this new journey together.

And on our walk back to the car, I saw this fence and just wanted to try something. She is such a strong, sexy, woman.

And something different I wanted to try. I like how it turned out!

I am so excited for you both and can’t wait to meet the little guy!

Geny and Pat are about to expect their first baby! The two are going to be such fun parents. Geny has the most infectious laugh. I had to contain my laughter several times during our shoot! We had fun romping around the Griffith Observatory. Check out the super cute parents-to-be!

Aren’t they just so so sweet?!

I like this next one. I call it Kiss and Chuck-les. hehe.

And then we got to witness the most amazing sunset. The entire sky was glowing!

Several people called me/facebooked me today letting me know that they were unable to email me. Turns out my mailbox was full. I apologize if your email got bounced back or lost in cyberspace. I call this one Waiting:

Isn’t this so so sweet? I love it when guys get so lovey dovey with their baby!

This was actually one of the first photos taken from the shoot. To warm them up, I asked them to talk to each other about what they’re looking forward to most. I couldn’t hear what they said, but from the looks on their face, they look so happy!

while I was setting up for the next shot (posted below), I caught them comparing bellies! Super cute moment!

The whole pregnancy process is such a miracle to me. It’s so crazy to think how a human being is created! I studied it in biology, but the miracle of it all didn’t hit me until I witnessed Zoe‘s birth. Maybe it’s just my maternal instinct kicking in… But I love this photo of them immersed in mother nature.

Newport Beach Maternity Photography | Cindy

Cindy is due to deliver a baby girl this week. It will be their first! She found me a week before she was due, but luckily we were able to set up a shoot right away. And good thing we were able to shoot right away because she was having contractions during the shoot! I joked that it could turn into a labor & delivery shoot… good thing it didn’t!

Thank you so much Sarah for recommending this awesome location!

I love how peaceful this picture is. It’s like a reminder to just pause and take a moment to enjoy things as they are.

Los Angeles Pregnancy, Labor, and Newborn Photography

Things happened faster than I can blog, so this entry will have to cover all 3 events. It has been amazing watching little Zoe’s life unfold before my eyes. Our adventure began when she was still in mommy’s tummy.

Look at all the people waiting for Zoe’s arrival:

She carries Zoe with so much strength and pride. I hope to feel as empowered as she is when it comes my turn.

And in just a few weeks, we were all at the hospital waiting for Zoe’s arrival. She was so eager to enter this world! At 10:10pm, we were all just waiting around.

And by 11pm, the nurse was already cleaning you up! Delivery was relatively quick, and SUCH a miracle! It amazes me what our bodies can do! O_o And even more amazed me how the baby knows what to do!

Meeting mommy for the first time:

Proud mommy with little Zoe. It’s amazing how as soon as the baby enters the world, you forget all about the labor and delivery.

Lucky for me, I got to see Zoe again at 2 weeks old. Must be so frustrating being a baby – there’s no way to communicate what you need.

But then I see moments like these and feel life as a baby must be so easy and peaceful.

Look at her cute, little, newborn feet! Her toes are like little grapes!

I love the silly little expression!

Welcome little Zoe to this big world. You will soon romp around and explore the greatness of this world.
