Ben grew up in Albuquerque and attended the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta with his family annually. It’s the biggest celebration of the year there where they launch HUNDREDS of hot air balloons at the break of dawn. Tammy grew up in San Francisco and had never been, so Ben brought her to experience this spectacular sight. Needless to say, she was hooked. Their first priority in planning their wedding was for everything to have a great time experiencing something special and unique to them. They decided to host their wedding in Ben’s parent’s backyard, and time it to coincide with the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta! Did you catch this lovely “backyard black tie” wedding on Green Wedding Shoes?

Look at Ben’s parent’s wedding photo!!! I love the idea that one day, their children may frame this photo (or another where i have them in focus & looking at the camera) and take a photo with it on their wedding day, also wearing these silly glasses!

They lined the walkways with luminarias… very New Mexico!
